With summer here NOW is the time to start getting active.  As we all know exercise is a great way to kick start a healthy lifestyle.

But did you know that Pilates is a great way to tone up and drop inches?

It is not just for those with back, shoulder and hip injuries.  Pilates is a wonderful, all over body workout that tones and strengthens and is suitable for all fitness levels. Clinicial Pilates at Pakenham Osteopathy uses 2 reformer machines and one mat work station.
Reformer machines are sliding beds that use springs and leverage (along with body weight) to provide resistance training.

Each exercise involves taking a part of the body through its full range of motion to target specific muscle groups.  The key with pilates is that all movements are slow and controlled so the focus is on quality of the movements rather than quantity.  This is where the toning comes in…. as you get stronger, the resistance on the reformer is increased and so too the tone of your muscles.  When combined with healthy eating you can drop inches as well!

Our classes have a maximum of 4 participants to ensure you get more bang for your buck.  You get personalised attention so that you can maximise every workout and reach your goals faster!
